‘Chelsea to recall Joao Felix’ – Fans rage after Nicolas Jackson injury update

Chelsea fans have taken to social media following a new injury update on Nicolas Jackson had a major impact on the club’s attacking ranks.

The Blues are preparing to face Brighton, looking for revenge after the Seagulls knocked them out of the FA Cup.

Enzo Maresca’s side were already without Jackson, who was declared a doubt earlier in the week, while Marc Guiu remains sidelined.

Chelsea supporters have criticised the club’s board for failing to sign an attacking reinforcement, especially after allowing Joao Felix to leave for AC Milan.

Frustration grew further after Matt Law of The Telegraph reported that the Senegal international will be “out until April” though Chelsea remain “confident” they can manage without him despite Marc Guiu’s absence.

Joao Felix struggled for game time under Enzo Maresca

The Portuguese forward joined AC Milan on a straight loan deal in the winter window, with no option or obligation to buy.

Felix was reportedly unhappy at Chelsea due to limited opportunities, as Jackson was favoured as the primary striker in the Premier League.

Despite only spending a few weeks in Italy, Felix has already hinted that he would be open to staying at AC Milan after his latest comments in an interview.

For now, Felix set to return to Chelsea in time for the Club World Cup, which begins on 15 June, just after his loan expires on 1 June. However, the club currently have major concerns in attack with their injury issues.

Chelsea fans frustrated over Joao Felix loan decision

The Portugal international returned to Stamford Bridge last summer for a second stint, in a deal that saw Conor Gallagher move to Atletico Madrid in the opposite direction.

Felix showed flashes of quality for the club this season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in 20 appearances, but ultimately decided to leave due to a lack of playing time.

Maresca instead placed his trust in Jackson, who has made 22 league starts compared to Felix’s three.

With the Senegal striker now injured and no natural striker available, frustrated Chelsea fans are urging the club to recall Felix as a desperate solution to their attacking issues. One supporter questioned the club’s decision-making, asking, “What were the board thinking when they agreed a loan deal for Felix?”
