Chelsea urged to agree Dean Huijsen signing after journalist’s reveal – fans wowed

Chelsea have been urged to sign highly-rated Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen after a new report has linked the club with him.

The Premier League giants are keen on signing the 19-year-old in the summer transfer window to bolster their defensive options.

However, Enzo Maresca’s side are set to face competition in trying to sign the Cherries star as two other Premier League clubs also want to secure his signature.

Chelsea recalled Trevoh Chalobah from a season-long loan at Crystal Palace due to injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana, while Axel Disasi has been deemed surplus to requirements.

Disasi has been loaned out to Aston Villa for the remainder of the season, which is why the club is looking at other defensive options.

The Blues have only managed to keep two clean sheets in their previous 10 games, with one coming in a draw against Everton and the other in a 5-0 win against Morecambe in the FA Cup.

Chelsea have conceded more goals than any other team in the top four of the Premier League this season, with this being a clear area for improvement.

Dean Huijsen has impressed at Bournemouth as Chelsea ready move

Huijsen has been a mainstay in the Bournemouth team this season after breaking into the squad from December.

The teenager has played every single minute of the Cherries Premier League campaign since starting against Tottenham on 5 December, which is a run of games that has seen the team secure five clean sheets in the league and another in the FA Cup.

Fabrizio Romano has previously revealed that the defender has a release clause at the Vitality Stadium from this summer, which is something Chelsea could look to activate.

Chelsea fans believe Dean Huijsen can be a superstar

Chelsea supporters have backed the club in potentially signing Huijsen during the summer transfer window as they believe he would “be good” for Maresca’s team.

The Blues faithful believe that Huijsen is similar to when the club signed Gary Cahill from Bolton, who ended up becoming a key member of the squad for many years.
