Chelsea ‘will hold talks’ with star over their future in January, with one factor set to decide the outcome
Chelsea are set for crunch talks with one star over their long-term future at Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
Sunderland’s shock 2-1 win at Chelsea has left the Blues ninth in the Premier League table, and eight points off league leaders Arsenal.
Matt Le Tissier exclusively told Football Insider that he believes Chelsea are not in the Premier League title race this season.
Despite another summer of heaving spending at the club, Enzo Maresca will already be looking ahead to January to bolster his squad.

Tyrique George to hold Chelsea contract talks
As per the Daily Mail, [29 October], Chelsea will hold contract talks with Tyrique George nearer to the January transfer window.
West Ham are backed to sign George in January, and the 19-year-old nearly left the club in the summer window.
“Chelsea will speak with Tyrique George closer to January to decide his immediate future, with the 19-year-old academy graduate set to have a big say in whether he stays or goes,” the Daily Mail reported.
“Chelsea don’t intend to try and force George to leave this January, either permanently or on loan, but will hold talks with the teenager and his camp to see what is best for everyone.
“Maresca has preferred using George as a striker rather than a winger and with Liam Delap returning from his hamstring injury, the teenager’s playing time will likely be reduced. The Blues boss has told us previously that George could do with playing regular football to further his progress.”

Liam Delap return could make George decision
The factor of Liam Delap returning from a hamstring injury could decide George’s future at the club with playing time likely to be reduced.

Joao Pedro is still the number one striker at the club, and Maresca also has Marc Guiu to call upon if needed.
George’s potential though could net Chelsea a decent fee for the teenager, which could help Maresca improve other areas of the squad.
