‘Chelsea will loan Kobbie Mainoo out’ – Fans react to Man United transfer news

Kobbie Mainoo would not be needed at Chelsea, a number of the club’s fans have claimed after seeing their side linked with the Man United midfielder.

The 19-year-old emerged as a key figure for the Red Devils last season, not least when he scored the winning goal in their FA Cup final victory over Man City.

He was also an important part of the England squad at Euro 2024, in which he started in the final and was one of the Three Lions’ standout performers during the tournament.

According to the latest update from The Daily Mail, talks over a new contract for Mainoo at Man United have hit a standstill, with two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract.

It is also stated that Chelsea are leading the race to sign the teenager, if he is to leave Old Trafford in the near future.

Those links though appear to have been met with skepticism from a number of supporters of the Stamford Bridge club.

Chelsea fans unconvinced by Kobbie Mainoo transfer links

There are already a number of strong midfield options available to Blues boss Enzo Maresca, with Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo impressing this season.

Chelsea also have Andrey Santos, who is currently out on loan with Strasbourg, as an option for the future in the centre of the park.

As a result, many of the clubs fans were seemingly of the opinion that a deal to sign Mainoo would not be needed, as they took to social media to react to links with the Man United player.

In other news, Chelsea have been identified as one of only two clubs who could afford to sign a Premier League star in the summer.
