‘Chelsea will sack Mykhailo Mudryk’ after failed drugs test

Chelsea supporters have demanded that the club sack Mykhailo Mudryk after it has been confirmed that he has failed a recent drugs test.

The 23-year-old is facing a ban of up to four years after a banned substance was discovered during a routine test.

The Ukraine international hasn’t played for the club since their 2-0 victory against Heideheim on 28 November and hasn’t been in the matchday squad since the 1 December game against Aston Villa.

Chelsea released an official statement on the matter which reads: “Chelsea Football Club can confirm the Football Association recently contacted our player Mykhailo Mudryk concerning an adverse finding in a routine urine test.

“Both the Club and Mykhailo fully support The FA’s testing programme and all our players, including Mykhailo, are regularly tested. Mykhailo has confirmed categorically that he has never knowingly used any banned substances. Both Mykhailo and the Club will now work with the relevant authorities to establish what has caused the adverse finding.”

It is currently unclear which banned substance was found in Mudyrk’s test or what punishment he will be facing.

Chelsea fans want Mykhailo Mudryk to be sacked

Chelsea supporters have been left fuming with the situation and have called for the club to work out a scenario where the winger can be sacked for his decisions.

Others have stated that it was money “down the drain” and that he’s been “woeful” since joining the Blues anyway.
