Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku reacts to Ethan Ampadu amid exit rumours
Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has reacted to a former Blues defender amid uncertainty around his future at the club.
It was exclusively revealed by Football Insider that Manchester United were set to approach Nkunku as the Red Devils endured tough negotiations with Brentford over Bryan Mbeumo.
However Nkunku favours a move to Barcelona, who are also chasing Man United forward Marcus Rashford.
Chelsea have already signed strikers Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and winger Jamie Gittens to bolster Enzo Maresca’s attacking options for next season.

Nkunku turns to former Chelsea defender amid speculation
Nkunku has been part of the Chelsea squad which has just won the Club World Cup in America, scoring in the Blues’ last 16 win over Benfica.
The Frenchman though has only been a squad player under Maresca and has failed to recapture the form which saw Chelsea spend £52 to bring the forward from RB Leipzig to London.
Nkunku has now reacted to former Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu’s training ground update.
Leeds captain Ampadu posted pictures on his Instagram working out with his team mates, which was liked by Nkunku.
Ampadu will lead Leeds into the Premier League for the first time in two seasons following their Championship title win last season.
Chelsea in no rush to sell Nkunku
Football Insider Verdict
With a stacked forward line, Maresca is now looking to offload players who may not be part of his plans next season.
The Italian already looks to have sold winger Noni Madueke to London rivals Arsenal, whilst Raheem Sterling’s contract may be terminated by Chelsea to free up their wage bill.
Chelsea are not in desperate need of cash though following their Club World Cup final victory over PSG, which has earned them over £80m.
Nkunku was a regular in Chelsea’s run to winning the Europa Conference League, but the 27-year-old only made nine Premier League starts last season.

Man United are one interested party, and with their lack of goal scorers Nkunku would get given more opportunities to showcase his talent.
A move to Barcelona looks complicated, unless the Spanish club are unable to reach an agreement with Rashford who is now their top target following Nico Williams’ decision to sign a new contract at Athletic Bilbao.
