Cherki, Saliba react to two-word message from Man United ace Leny Yoro

Man City new-man Rayan Cherki and Arsenal star William Saliba reacted to a message from Man United’s Leny Yoro.

The French defender endured a devastating setback to his career at Old Trafford as Yoro suffered an injury against Arsenal in a pre-season game.

The teenager finally made his long-awaited competitive debut for the club against the North Londoners in December.

And after a shaky start, Yoro has gone from strength to strength for Ruben Amorim‘s side, thriving in the Portuguese manager’s three at the back system.

The Frenchman was the standout performer in United’s Europa League final loss to Tottenham and despite the result, the former Lille man looks ready to headline the Red Devils’ backline for years to come if he can maintain his strong performances.

Leny Yoro shares ‘summer’ message with Man United fans

Yoro shared a plethora of photos of himself enjoying a break away from the beautiful game, captioned: “Summer stories”.

The post was liked by France teammates Cherki and Saliba, showing support for their countryman, despite playing for rival clubs.

Man United in strong position to make surprise Champions League charge

Football Insider Verdict

United find themselves in unfamiliar territory, but it could set them up well in the long run.

Without European football of any kind, the Red Devils will suffer the consequences of the lost revenue.

However, it will not affect them this summer, and United are looking to make the most of their surprisingly strong PSR position.

Matheus Cunha has joined from Wolves, and Bryan Mbeumo looks set to follow him in making Old Trafford home.

Whilst the revenue will dip next season, United will be able to fully focus on the task of qualifying for the Champions League, rather than struggling on multiple fronts, like they did this past season.

With a full pre-season under Amorim and the opportunity to fully learn the tactical system he likes to employ, the Red Devils are primed to be a surprise package in the Premier League next term.
