Chido Obi-Martin sends ‘disappointed’ message to Ruben Amorim, Zirkzee responds
Man United sensation Chido Obi-Martin admitted he was ‘disappointed’ after making his debut in their 1-0 Premier League defeat to Tottenham on Sunday (February 16).
The 17-year-old was Ruben Amorim’s only substitute as Man United fell to a defeat to fellow strugglers Tottenham, replacing Casemiro in added time.
Victor Lindelof was the only senior player on the Man United bench, with Amorim forced to use seven academy players, inducing Obi-Martin, amid their ongoing injury crisis.
United were without eight first-team players for the defeat to Tottenham, with Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez ruled out for the rest of the season.
James Maddison scored the only goal of the game, aiming a sly dig at United icon Roy Keane on social media following their recent war of words.

The wonderkid has impressed at youth level since joining from Arsenal in the summer, starting eight of his 11 games across all competitions, scoring 12 goals, and providing two assists in his 772 minutes of action.
Obi-Martin took to Instagram after the defeat to Spurs to vent his frustrations, saying: “Disappointed with the loss. On a personal note thanks to the gaffer & the club for making a dream come true for me and my family.”
Joshua Zirkzee posted an upbeat message in response to Man United team’s debut.

Defeat to Tottenham sees United fall to 15th, with eight wins, five draws, 12 defeats, and just 29 points from their 25 games while Spurs climb to 12th.
Amorim’s side will take on David Moyes’ resurgent Everton side in their next Premier League game on Saturday (February 22).
