Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies has confirmed Parkhead stars Patrick Roberts, Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic will miss Thursday’s Europa League clash with Zenit St. Petersburg after failing to overcome injury.
The Hoops attacking trio were hopeful of being able to return to the side for the first leg tie with the Russians but Davies has revealed they are still unavailable.
Celtic had hoped to give Rogic some game-time in an Under-20’s clash this week before it fell foul of the weather.
As well as the midfield trio missing out, Brendan Rodgers’ number two confirmed Leigh Griffith’s injury is still being rehabbed
“Roberts is just returning to training but isn’t available for the game. Rogic is a little bit further on and hopefully he will be available over the next week or so. Armstrong unfortunately is still in his rehab, the same with Griffiths,” Davies said, as quoted by the Hoops’ official Twitter account.

Rogic hasn’t played a first-team game in two months after sustaining a serious knee injury.
The Australian was back on the bench for the weekend Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle, but didn’t get on while Roberts has been out of action since November.
Armstrong underwent a hernia operation last month during the winter break after it had been causing problems for a while.
News of the trio missing out will be a blow for Brendan Rodgers’ side as they look to secure a valuable home win before heading to Russia for the second-leg.
