By Matt Bullin

Former Celtic star Chris Sutton has delivered his congratulations to Scott Sinclair, Kieran Tierney and Brendan Rodgers after they were all winners at the Scottish PFA awards on Sunday night.

Sinclair came away with the PFA Scotland’s Premiership Player of the Year award, while Tierney won the Young Player award and Rodgers won the Manager of the Year.

Celtic’s Moussa Dembele also came away with the Goal of the Season award for his hat-trick goal against St. Johnstone, which finished off a 24-pass move.

Sinclair beat his teammates, Stuart Armstrong and Moussa Dembele to the award, and Aberdeen midfielder Jonny Hayes was also shortlisted.

Dembele was also shortlisted for the Young Player award, which Tierney won, along with Hoops star Patrick Roberts and Hibernian front man Jason Cummings.

Rodgers had been the hot favourite for the Manager award having guided his side to a domestic double in his first year in charge, as well as a 43 game unbeaten streak. He beat Partick Thistle boss Alan Archibald, Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes and Jim Duffy of Morton to the award.

Sutton, a former Scottish PFA Players’ Player of the Year during his time at the Bhoys, was keen to pass on his congratulations.

He wrote on his personal Twitter account: “Congratulations to Scott Sinclair, Kieran Tierney and Brendan Rodgers and all the winners at the PFA awards last night.”

Sutton won four Scottish Premiership titles while at Celtic, as well as three Scottish Cups. He also scored 63 goals in 130 league games for the club.
