Chris Sutton predicts Tottenham clash v Everton

By Danny Wright

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton believes that Tottenham will get back to winning ways in their trip to Everton on Saturday as they return to Premier League action following the international break.

Spurs have failed to win since the opening day of the season but Sutton has predicted ghat Mauricio Pochettino’s men will pick up a 2-1 win at Goodison Park.

The ex-England international’s predictions were posted on the official Twitter account of BT Sport Score on Thursday night.

Like Tottenham, Everton are also without a win in their last two league fixtures but have had to endure testing clashes with both Manchester City and reigning champions Chelsea.

Ronald Koeman spend big in the summer in order to try and get his side closer to competing with the top six Premier League sides but early results have suggested that the Toffees are still finding it hard to pose a challenge to the Champions League clubs.

Tottenham may have to make the most of their away games this season as it seems that their Wembley hoodoo has carried over into the league after a poor showing at the England national ground in European competitions last term.

Going into Saturday’s clash, Spurs will be boosted by the knowledge that Everton have been unable to beat them home or away since December 2012, with the London club’s last win on the blue half of Merseyside coming two years ago thanks to a Harry Kane goal in a 1-0 victory.

In other Tottenham news, Vincent Janssen has sent a message to the fans after completing a shock out of window transfer.
