Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton delivered a message to Celtic fans ahead of tonight’s clash against PSG in the Champions League.

Celtic are up against one of the form sides in Europe, who currently lead both the French league and their Champions League group ahead of Bayern Munich.

Celtic are in third place in the group, and are aiming for Europa League football, and most Celtic supporters would accept that they are really up against it tonight.

That hasn’t stopped Sutton – in Paris to cover the game for BT Sport – from getting behind Celtic and hoping other follow in his lead.

“Get behind Brendan’s Bhoys” he said on his personal Twitter account.

Celtic are currently a point ahead of Anderlecht in the battle for Europa League football, with the sides meeting in the final Champions League group game at Celtic Park on the 5th of December.

Celtic defeated Anderlecht 3-0 in Belgium, so the Hoops lead the Belgian champions on both head to head and points.

The Hoops have another big game this weekend, as they take on Motherwell in the Betfred Cup Final at Hampden Park on Sunday.

It’s the first of three games between the teams in six days, with league meetings at Fir Park and Celtic Park to follow.

In other Celtic news, John Hartson thinks that Celtic will struggle in Paris tonight.
