Chris Sutton trolls another Rangers fan on Twitter, Celtic supporters react

By Harvey Byrne

Outspoken pundit and former Celtic man Chris Sutton has trolled another Rangers fan on Twitter – and Hoops supporters are loving him.

The 44-year-old ex-striker is never one to shy away when talking about the Ibrox giants, which has often brought a backlash from the famous Gers fan base.

The latest supporter to try and take on Sutton on social media was Alex Collins with the Twitter handle “@Gers_Loyal”, where he asked the BT Sport pundit if there was a football topic which wouldn’t see him bring up the Light Blues.

However, Sutton gave what many believe to be the perfect response via his personal Twitter account by simply replying with “Champions League???”

The Champions League is currently a sticky topic for Rangers fans and after the Celtic support saw Sutton’s reply many took to social media to comment and add further injury to the wound.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Rangers have not played in Europe’s elite competition since 2010, where they were dumped out in the group stage.

Celtic, meanwhile are preparing for a clash with Paris Saint-Germain in September as they continue to pit themselves against Europe’s best.

In other Rangers news, Sutton also named three Gers players in his team of the week after his spat with Pedro Caixinha.
