Christian Eriksen: Man United to accept ‘£5m’ offer

Man United will accept a £5m offer for Christian Eriksen, sources have told Football Insider.

The 32-year-old is up for sale with a year left on his contract after Erik ten Hag deemed him surplus to requirements.

Eriksen is a big earner at Old Trafford, and the club are keen to remove him from the wage bill.

However, a triumphant return to Ajax is unlikely as his former club needs to make sales to afford his fee and salary.

Eriksen has been at Old Trafford since July 2022, after his brief six-month stint at Brentford ended.

During his time with the Premier League giants, he has won an EFL Cup and was part of the squad that captured the FA Cup last season.

Man United are ready to cash in on Christian Eriksen

Eriksen has shown glimpses of his quality during his stint with United, scoring three goals and providing 13 assists throughout his 72 appearances.

The Danish midfielder saw his minutes drastically reduced last season, as he only started 12 of his 22 Premier League outings.

The creative midfielder has yet to feature for United this season, with Ten Hag opting not to use him in either the Community Shield final or the opening Premier League game.

Man United, Jadon Sancho

Even though Eriksen is set to be offloaded there could be a surprise member of the squad still at the club when the transfer window ends in Jadon Sancho.

However, even though Ten Hag has had a U-turn on the winger, Football Insider revealed the Premier League giants are still trying to sell him in the final days of the window.
