Christiansen makes Leeds squad suggestion ahead of clash v Leicester
By Danny Wright
Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has suggested that he will make changes to his side for their League Cup clash with Leicester on Tuesday night.
Christiansen has regularly switched up his team selection in the Carabao Cup so far this season and it appears to have worked brilliantly with wins against Port Vale, Newport County and Premier League side Burnley.
Leicester will no doubt be a tough test for the Whites having picked up a win against Swansea on Saturday as Michael Appleton took over caretaker charge in the wake of Craig Shakespeare’s sacking.
However with a Championship tie against Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United on the horizon, Christiansen has hinted that he will call upon some of his squad players at some point this week.
“I am looking at both games (Sheffield United too). and I am looking at the players in the squad that I have. Leicester had a good win this weekend, a win that can give them good confidence back. I think both the league and the cup are important,” he said as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

In Leeds’ last game against Burnley, the Whites stunned the Turf Moor crowd with a penalty shoot-out win against a side with Charlie Taylor and Chris Wood playing.
Conor Shaughnessy, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Mateusz Klich, Jay-Roy Grot, Pawel Cibicki and Stuart Dallas all started that game in mid-September but have been barely called upon in the league since.
It remains to be seen if any of them will return at the King Power Stadium, but it seems unlikely that Dallas will as he missed Saturday’s win over Bristol City due to a bereavement which forced him to travel back to Northern Ireland.
In other Leeds United news, Noel Whelan has claimed that this Whites player needs to lose weight.
