Leeds are reportedly eyeing a shock swoop to bring Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo to Elland Road this summer, but the experienced forward must be avoided to keep finances afloat.
Spanish outlet SuperDeporte claim that due to head coach Thomas Christiansen and director of football Victor Orta’s Spanish nationality, Leeds could be Negredo’s next port of call.
It is said that Negredo has already rejected offers from China and Turkey, with SuperLig champions Besiktas said to be keen on the former Manchester City ace.
BBC journalist Pat Murphy revealed on his personal Twitter account that Championship rivals Wolves are said to be interested, but his £100,000-a-week wages are too expensive to afford.
