Christopher Nkunku sends message to Chelsea fans after Man United update

Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is reportedly unhappy with his role at the club under new manager Enzo Maresca.

The 27-year-old has been relegated to cup games and the odd substitute appearance, with Nicolas Jackson cementing himself as Maresca’s preferred option up top for Premier League games.

According to The Athletic, Man United are interested in the unhappy Frenchman, but Ruben Amorim’s side will have to sell before making a move.

Nkunku scored Chelsea’s first goal in their 2-0 Europa Conference League win over FC Heidenheim on Thursday (November 28) as the Premier League giants edge closer to the next round.

Despite his lack of league minutes, Nkunku is Chelsea’s top goalscorer so far this season, with 11 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Christopher Nkunku impressing for Chelsea in Europe

The Premier League giants are heavy favourites to lift the Europa Conference League come the end of the season, which would make them the first club to win all three major European trophies.

If Chelsea go on to win it, Nkunku will undoubtedly be a key factor, with the forward taking to Instagram to celebrate their recent victory.

Chelsea remain top of the new Europa Conference League group phase, winning all four of their games so far, with Kazakhstanian side FC Astana up next.

Things are going pretty well in the Premier League, too, for Maresca’s side, sitting in third as they prepare for a visit from Aston Villa on Sunday (December 1).
