Cole Palmer aims Enzo Maresca jibe at Chelsea teammate Romeo Lavia
Cole Palmer has taken a dig at his Chelsea teammate Romeo Lavia over a nod to manager Enzo Maresca on social media.
Taking to his Instagram page on Tuesday night (18 December) the former Man City and Southampton midfielder posted a series of pictures along with a request for followers to provide a caption for the post.
One of those pictures was of Lavia in discussion with Maresca at the end of a match, and it that which caught the attention of Palmer.
Responding to that post with his suggestion for a comment, the Chelsea ace wrote with a crying laughter emoji: “why you taggin the gaffa like he gna follow you??”
Chelsea squad clearly in high spirits amid excellent form
Football Insider Opinion
This is not the first time in recent weeks that we have seem members of the Blues squad having a laugh at each other’s expense on social media.
It does seem to indicate that spirits are high behind-the-scenes at Chelsea which is perhaps no surprise given their excellent start to the campaign.

The fact they are in this mindset, brimming with confidence and enjoying life should offer a belief they can continue in this form.
Even if as Palmer suggests, Maresca will not be following Lavia on social media, he is surely going to continue to call on the midfielder on the pitch.
After an injury-hit debut campaign for Chelsea last season, the former Man City prospect has been outstanding in recent months under the Italian.
Maresca has received plenty of credit for what he has done already at Stamford Bridge since arriving of the summer.
If he continues to get the best out of Lavia and the rest of the squad that will surely continue to be the case.
In other news, Enzo Fernandez has issued a one-word verdict on Thiago Silva.
