Cole Palmer and James Maddison react to Dewsbury-Hall’s emotional Chelsea message

Chelsea and Tottenham stars were among those to respond to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s recent message after more celebrations following Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph.

Chelsea players are still revelling in the moment after their emphatic victory over Paris Saint-Germain to secure the Club World Cup title.

Dewsbury-Hall made a late appearance in the final and played a key role throughout the competition, scoring once in five outings.

Dewsbury-Hall also proved influential during Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League win last season, contributing four goals and three assists, and has steadily earned a more regular place in the squad under Enzo Maresca.

Now, after completing his debut season at Stamford Bridge, the midfielder shared a message with supporters to reflect on a memorable year.

Dewsbury-Hall shared a heartfelt update on Instagram featuring images from a recent photoshoot alongside the Club World Cup trophy.

He captioned the post with the simple but powerful message: “A lad from Sheppeh.”

The midfielder is most likely nodding to Shepshed in Leicestershire, where he grew up and began his football journey with local side Shepshed Dynamo Warriors.

The message received widespread support from teammates and fellow professionals. Chelsea captain Reece James replied, “The boy” while Liam Delap echoed similar sentiments with, “What a boy.”

Other stars from across the Premier League also showed their support by liking the post, including Tottenham’s James Maddison, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, and Club World Cup final standout Cole Palmer.

Despite proving himself as a reliable squad player throughout the season, Dewsbury-Hall’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain.

Back in February, Football Insider reported that Chelsea would consider selling the Dewsbury-Hall for a reduced fee after failing to offload him to West Ham or Everton during the winter window.

Everton were heavily linked with Dewsbury-Hall or but a move failed to materialise. It remains to be seen whether they will revive their interest this summer.

Chelsea to prioritise player sales amid financial pressure

With the Club World Cup campaign concluded, the Blues are now expected to shift their focus to outgoings after a busy summer.

Chelsea were handed a record-breaking fine by UEFA for failing their financial rules, and player sales will now likely take priority to raise funds.

Several high-profile names are reportedly on the chopping block, including Joao Felix and Raheem Sterling, who are set for Chelsea exits. Whether Dewsbury-Hall joins them is yet to be decided, but a squad overhaul appears imminent.
