Cole Palmer and Jeremie Frimpong react to Chelsea’s new man Jamie Gittens
Cole Palmer and Liverpool’s Jeremie Frimpong have both responded to Chelsea’s new left-winger Jamie Gittens on social media.
The ex-Borussia Dortmund winger joined midway through the Blues’ triumphant Club World Cup campaign, although he was unable to be registered for the tournament.
However, there is a tangible sense of excitement at what Chelsea’s signing of Gittens can bring to the team next season.
Enzo Maresca‘s side has ferociously attacked the transfer market, and they don’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.
Chelsea are in talks to sign Jorrel Hato from Ajax, which will come as good news to the fanbase, and Levi Colwill, as the Blues are light on high-quality options to pair with the England international at centre-back.

Jamie Gittens shares update away from Chelsea
After a busy season that only finished near the end of June, Gittens has taken some time off from football to recuperate before his debut season in the Premier League.
The winger shared some images from his holiday on Instagram, and the post was liked by Frimpong and Chelsea teammate Palmer.
Jamie Gittens solves Chelsea’s left-wing issues
Football Insider Verdict
Left-wing has been a cursed position for the Blues over the last few seasons.
Mykhailo Mudryk is currently facing up to a four-year ban for doping, whilst Chelsea were willing to pay Man United not to sign Jadon Sancho.
Although not a natural at the position, Christopher Nkunku has found it immensely difficult whilst playing there, and Noni Madueke has departed for Arsenal.
Which places a rather large burden on Gittens’ shoulders to be the solution to Chelsea’s most problematic position, other than goalkeeper of course.
However, the former Man City academy graduate looks well suited to do so. Unlike many of the others used there, left-wing is a natural position for him.
What’s more, Gittens has experience of playing in a press-heavy set-up, and has proven himself against high-level opposition in the Champions League.
