Cole Palmer and Liam Delap react to Morgan Rogers’ message amid Chelsea rumours
Cole Palmer has reacted to Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers amid rumours linking the midfielder to Chelsea, with Blues transfer target Liam Delap also responding.
Rogers had a successful Premier League season on a personal level, scoring eight goals and picking up 10 assists, as well as featuring in 37 out of the 38 games.
However, Villa missed out on a Champions League spot on the final day of the campaign, controversially losing 2-0 to Manchester United, and finishing behind fifth-placed Newcastle on goal difference.
It was the former Middlesbrough man Rogers who had a goal wrongly ruled out by the referee, who blew his whistle before the ball went in, meaning the decision couldn’t be reviewed by VAR.

Rogers linked to Chelsea
As a result of failing to secure Champions League football, Aston Villa lost out on a potential £200million in TV rights money.
That means that the Birmingham-based club are now scrambling to meet PSR regulations, so that they don’t incur a points penalty further down the line.
In order to keep themselves above the water, Villa may be forced to sell Rogers, with Chelsea and Manchester City both rumoured to be interested in the midfielder.

Currently, the 22-year-old is on international duty with England, and he took to Instagram to share some photos from the camp, as well as from the end of the Premier League season.
Two of the photos showed Rogers with Chelsea star Palmer, and the pair seem to be very friendly, which has further fuelled rumours of a move.
Palmer liked the post, as did Ipswich youngster Delap, who is set to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Chelsea set to confirm Delap signing
Football Insider Verdict
Delap has attracted the interest of a vast number of Premier League clubs over the past few weeks, with Manchester United, Everton, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, and West Ham all looking to add the striker to their ranks.
However, it seems as if the 22-year-old has rejected all of the aforementioned sides in order to make the switch to West London.
It was confirmed that Delap had chosen Chelsea last week (29 May), with the striker excited at the chance to play Champions League football.
The Blues triggered the Ipsiwch man’s £30m release clause, and it is expected that the deal will be completed within the coming days.
Nicolas Jackson’s Chelsea future is in doubt as a result, as Delap is expected to be first-choice striker next season.
