Madueke’s brace came at a time when speculation around his future is beginning to build. Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa are preparing a summer move for Madueke, in a bid to strengthen their attacking options, as the winger would be open to the switch.

Amid the transfer rumours, he shared a post on social media celebrating the result and his performance, earning plenty of reactions from teammates and fans alike, as he looks to continue his form heading into the final stretch of the season.

Chelsea considering Alejandro Garnacho and Nico Williams as winger options

The Blues are expected to target a new winger in the summer, especially if Madueke departs and with Sancho’s long-term future at the club still uncertain.

Chelsea remain interested In Alejandro Garnacho after a January move failed with a potential swap deal with Christopher Nkunku being touted.

In addition, Chelsea have shown interest in Nico Williams along with Arsenal for the Spaniard, but his wage demands may become a problem for the Gunners.

Madueke’s recent upturn in form, however, may yet shift the club’s summer plans. If he maintains consistency in the closing stages of the season, it could strengthen his case to stay and succeed at Stamford Bridge.
