Cole Palmer drops Man United transfer hint after ‘liking’ post
Chelsea star Cole Palmer is seemingly all for the club trying to sign Kobbie Mainoo from Man United after ‘liking’ a post regarding a potential move.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the 19-year-old is no longer seen as untouchable at Man United as they may need to sell homegrown players to comply with PSR.
Mainoo is out of contract in the summer of 2027, and Orstein confirmed there is ‘no news‘ regarding a potential new deal for the midfielder.
The Daily Mail has since reported that Mainoo is ‘concerned’ by the direction of the club under new manager Ruben Amorim, and Chelsea are leading the chase to sign him.
The youngster has struggled with injury so far this season but has since become a key player, starting 13 of his 17 games across all competitions and failing to providing a goal contribution in his 1216 minutes of action.
Man United continue to struggle since the appointment of Amorim, sitting down in in 13th with 23 points from their 20 games, winless in their last four Premier League games.

Both Palmer, 22, and Mainoo became fully fledged England internationals after breakout 2023-24 seasons at club level.
Palmer would clearly like to see his now international teammate join him at Chelsea, taking to Instagram to ‘like’ a post linking Mainoo to the club.

The playmaker has continued his remarkable form from last season into this one, starting 20 of his 22 games across all competitions, scoring 13 goals, and providing six assists in his 1800 minutes on the field.
Chelsea and Man United both have big FA Cup ties coming up, with Amorim’s side travelling to Arsenal while Enzo Maresca’s men host Morecambe.
