Cole Palmer posts injury update ahead of Chelsea v Arsenal showdown
Chelsea star Cole Palmer has taken to social media to post an image of himself in the physio’s office ahead of their pivotal clash with Arsenal on Sunday (November 10).
The 22-year-old is a major doubt for the showdown with Mikel Arteta’s side after picking up an injury in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Man United on matchday 10.
Palmer has been on fire for the West London club this season, topping the Premier League charts with 12 goal involvements, tied alongside Mohamed Salah.
Enzo Maresca is keeping his cards close to his chest, refusing to confirm whether or not Palmer will feature against Arsenal.
Ahead of Chelsea’s Europa Conference League match against Armenian side FC Noah on Thursday (November 7), Maresca expressed he’s “hopeful” Palmer will be fit to play against Arsenal.
“Yeah, for sure. He didn’t train the last two days. We will see. Hopefully he can be fit. The tackle, I think it’s quite clear, was not a normal one. Hopefully he can be back.”
“Cole was in the changing room with ice so we are waiting now. Hopefully it is nothing important.”
Chelsea left to sweat over Cole Palmer injury
There would be no miracle for FC Noah as Chelsea thrashed them 8-0 in midweek, with potential Palmer understudy Joao Felix scoring a brace.
Surprisingly, Palmer isn’t the club’s top goalscorer so far this season, that honour belongs to Christopher Nkunku, who has 10 goals across 16 appearances in all competitions.
Maresca’s side have plenty of options, but Palmer took to Instagram to let fans know that he’s doing everything he can to be fit for the Arsenal game.

Arsenal have their own injury worries ahead of the London derby, Declan Rice is also a doubt after picking up a toe injury but Martin Odegaard has returned after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
After a string of disappointing results, Arsenal find themselves outside of the Champions League spots going into the game, with Chelsea sitting in fourth, hoping to qualify for Europe’s elite club competition for the first time since 2021-22.
