Collymore delivers verdict on Tottenham season, says who will star in clash v Hull

By Danny Wright

Stan Collymore is backing Harry Kane to star in Tottenham’s season ending clash against Hull at the KCOM Stadium on Sunday.

The 46-year-old believes that the striker will score his 27th and 28th league goals of the campaign in a straightforward 3-0 win over the already-relegated Hull.

Collymore, a former Liverpool attacker, added that it will be a fitting win to round off what has been a brilliant season for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, despite them falling just short in their race for a maiden Premier League title.

“I can’t see anything other than Spurs finishing off the season well,” said Collymore in a video on BoyleSports’ official Twitter account.

“[I predict] Hull City 0-3 Tottenham, Harry Kane with a brace and Dele Alli with one.

“Done and dusted, cut and tried. I’ll pay my respect to the Lilywhites, what an absolutely cracking season for them.”

Kane, 23, is currently leading the way for the Premier League golden boot award thanks to his four goal haul in the 6-1 thrashing of Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night.

Everton’s Romelu Lukaku is Kane’s closest rival with 24 goals – two shy of the Spurs man.

The England international has scored 32 times in all competitions this term in 37 appearances.

His heroics at Leicester were the third time this season he has scored a hat-trick and also his eighth goal in his last seven outings.

Both Hull and Tottenham are cemented in their current league positions and cannot deviate from them whatever the outcome of Sunday’s results are.

It’ll be the Tigers’ final game in the top-flight for at least a year after their relegation was confirmed last week due to a 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace.
