Collymore predicts West Ham to end barren run v Middlesbrough

By Alex Taylor

Stan Collymore believes that West Ham will earn their second win of the season against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The east London outfit welcome Boro to the Olympic Stadium as they seek their first league win in five games.

The visitors, 16th, sit just two places above the Hammers going into the fixture having notched five points in six matches this term.

Collymore predicted via his personal Twitter account that Slaven Bilic’s side will collect three points in the match, winning 2-1.

Bilic will not be used to his side’s form at the start of the season, after he drove West Ham to a thrilling seventh placed finish in England’s top-flight last term and got the best from a side, which finished 12th previously.

The east London outfit have lost five out of their last six league matches this season, with their only points coming in a 1-0 win over Bournemouth in August.

The east London side face Crystal Palace and Sunderland after their clash with Middlesbrough,  before taking on Chelsea in the League Cup.

In other West Ham news, Paul Merson believes it was “bad business” for West Ham to sell James Tomkins, as he predicts Bilic’s side to draw 1-1 against Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.
