'Come home' - Rangers fans react to Weiss Twitter message

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers fans have urged midfielder Vladimir Weiss to come back and silence Celtic fans on Twitter.

The 27-year-old  left-winger appeared to hit out at Hoops fans via his personal Twitter account on Thursday evening, sharing “they are so obsessed.”

Fans of both sides of the Glasgow took the four-word message as one aimed at Hoops supporters, who continuously message him on the social media website.

The 58-time capped Slovakia international is not shy with his words on Twitter and he himself has fired shots at Celtic in the past due to his allegiance with Rangers.

The attacker spent a season on loan at Ibrox from Manchester City in the 2010-11 season and now fans are eager to see him return.

Weiss is currently playing in Qatar for Al-Gharafa, which is where March appointment Pedro Caixinha was manager of before taking charge of Rangers.

He is still contracted to the club until 2020, but he may look for a return to Europe with the World Cup approaching next summer.
