‘Complete disaster’ – Man United fans destroy ‘brain dead’ starter after what he did vs Wolves

Man United supporters were absolutely furious as Ruben Amorim’s player struggled to break down a relegation-threatened Wolves.

Wolves are destined for the Championship, with Burnley and West Ham both stuck in the dropzone, but things were finally starting to look up at Old Trafford following a win over Newcastle United.

Ruben Amorim stunned Eddie Howe with his change of formation, but when facing the Old Gold, he appeared to revert to his old tactics, seeing his side squirm through proceedings.

Joshua Zirkzee has been linked with a Man United exit, but it was the Dutchman who opened the scoring in fine fashion, only for the Red Devils to be pegged back by a Ladislav Krejci header.

It was Wolves’ equaliser that truly infuriated the home supporters, and the blame landed at the feet of Patrick Dorgu, who was the hero against the Magpies at the weekend.

After giving away a needless corner, the 21-year-old was slow to react at the back post, allowing Krejci to sneak in and bury his header past Senne Lammens, who could do absolutely nothing.

He was labelled “brain dead” after the incident, with another supporter digging at a “complete disaster” of a right flank, where the Red Devils had struggled to perform against the Old Gold.

A third fan was frustrated enough to suggest that the player “has to leave ASAP,” while another passed some of the blame to Zirkzee, who had originally put the home side ahead.

Gary Neville was very vocal throughout the 90 minutes, placing the blame on the manager for United only being able to claim a single point against the bottom of the league.

The performance was night and day from their win over Newcastle. There is simply nothing that can be said to defend the boss’ change of tactics, especially at home to the league’s worst team.

He had finally unlocked something against the Magpies, but for reasons unknown to anyone but himself and his staff, the Red Devils abandoned all of it against the Old Gold.

Neville also questioned the decision to substitute Zirkzee at half-time as well, but it is unclear whether that was for tactical purposes or for a new injury.
