Celtic player ratings v Rangers: MOTM is 9/10 as Hoops win title in style

COMMENT

Celtic cruised to their seventh consecutive league title after demolishing their bitter rivals Rangers 5-0 at Celtic Park.

The big news before the match was the fact that Odsonne Edouard took the place of injured striker Moussa Dembele, and Edouard started the ball rolling when he turned in a Kieran Tierney pass to give the Hoops the lead.

The Bhoys added to their lead twice just before the half-time whistle, when Edouard got his second of the game then James Forrest scored his first ever goal against the Ibrox side.

The goal continued to come in the second-half, as Old Firm specialists Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor found the back of the net to continue a memorable day for the Hoops support.

The Bhoys continued to hunt for goals as Jak Alnwick tried in vein to keep the goal tally down.

The game ended with plenty of Hoops celebration as they clinched the league title against their greatest rivals for the first time since 1979.
