Confirmed: Leeds player definitely wants to quit club when season ends

Giuseppe Bellusci “definitely” wants to quit Leeds at the end of the season, according to his agent.
The Italian defender is currently at Serie A side Empoli on a season-long loan from the Championship promotion hopefuls.
Bellusci’s contract with Leeds runs until the summer of 2018 and he will be due to report for pre-season training at Thorp Arch in July.
But Bellusci’s representative Michelangelo Minieri has made it clear that the centre-back does not intend to return to the Yorkshire giants.
“The will is definitely the one to stay in Serie A, but obviously now we just finish off with Empoli and attain salvation, then there will be time to plan for the future,” said Minieri to Italian football website Calcio Mercato 24.

“At a time when we will reach the goals the company has set itself, then we will meet to decide the future.
“We are very happy at the experience with Empoli, we are happy to be doing a championship level. In addition, the boy is very happy and working to ensure that everything goes well.”
The centre-back has been a mainstay of the Empoli team, making 23 appearances in Serie A alone, totalling 2,070 minutes.
Bellusci spent two years at Leeds and made 61 appearances for the first team that were marked by controversy and poor performances.
Minieri revealed that Bellusci’s loan deal with Empoli includes an option for the Tuscan side to sign the former Catania defender permanently.
“At Leeds it has been two years and it was a very important and beautiful experience that has allowed him to grow as much,” added Minieri to Calcio Mercato.” He has had the opportunity to compete in a major championship especially from the physical point of view. It ‘was a wonderful experience.”
Monk signed two new centre-backs last summer, with Pontus Jansson joining on a season-long loan from Torino that will be converted into a permanent deal in the summer and Kyle Bartley signing from Swansea on a similar length deal.
The duo have formed an outstanding partnership at the back that has been the bedrock of the team’s promotion challenge.
Leeds are fourth in the Championship table ahead of their clash against 14th placed Birmingham at St Andrews on Friday night.
In other Leeds transfer news, the club are to pounce and re-sign a 23-year-old after a £10million transfer is all but sealed.
