Roberto Firmino has failed in his race against time to be fit for Liverpool’s Premier League showdown against Tottenham on Saturday night.
The Brazilian winger has not recovered from the hamstring injury sustained against Manchester United 16 days ago and does not make the matchday squad.
However, Jurgen Klopp has selected an attack-minded team, with spearhead Daniel Sturridge flanked by in-form attacking midfield duo Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho.
Lallana has produced some fine displays in recent weeks and impressed during the international break for England.
Klopp has made three changes from the side that lost 3-2 to Southampton before the international break with James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Alberto Moreno replacing Jon Flanagan, Joe Allen and Divock Origi.
