Confirmed Rangers line-up v Celtic: Hill starts in no changes

By Dominic Toner

Rangers have made no changes to their starting XI against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership meeting.

The Gers host bitter rivals Celtic on Saturday for a league clash and manger Mark Warburton has made no alternations from the team that drew with St Johnstone.

Clint Hill has managed to pass a late fitness test to keep his place, but Lee Wallace has been unable to prove his fitness.

Rangers have announced their starting line-up on their official Twitter account.

Defender Hill had a 50/50 chance of playing after being forced off injured in the last game and has given his side a huge boost.

Rangers will be desperate to avenge the humiliating 5-1 defeat against their Old Firm rivals in the last league meeting in September.

Warburton’s side are undefeated in their last five games and have consolidated their second-placed position in the table in recent weeks.

However, they are currently 16 points adrift of league leaders Celtic and will be keen to chip away at that lead on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic look in immaculate form this season and are undefeated in their opening 19 league games, but their visit to Ibrox is expected to be the toughest game of the season so far.

The Gers were narrowly defeated 1-0 when the two sides met in the Scottish League Cup semi-final in October as Moussa Dembele scored an 87th minute winner.

In other Rangers team news, Chris Sutton has named the club’s consistent player in his team of the year.
