Confirmed Rangers line-up v Hearts: 21-year-old attacker axed in four changes

By Aramide Oladipo

Pedro Caixinha has made four changes to the Rangers side that beat Partick Thistle 2-1 for the Saturday lunchtime game with Hearts.

Clin Hill, Lee Hodson, Jon Toral, and Barrie McKay all come in to the starting XI, with Danny Wilson, Myles Beerman, Martyn Waghorn and Joe Dodoo dropping to the bench.

The team news was released on the Rangers Twitter page ahead of the 12.15pm kick-off.

The Gers are looking to make it two league wins on the bounce following their dramatic last minute 2-1 victory against Partick Thistle last weekend.

It’s the first game Rangers have played at Ibrox since suffering that humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of Scottish champions and fierce rivals Celtic at the end of April.

Pedro Caixinha’s side are looking to rely on their fine home form as they only suffered two defeats at Ibrox in the league throughout the season.

Rangers have only won one of the last four meetings against Hearts in the league, with their last victory coming in the 2-0 win in December at Ibrox.

Hearts enjoyed a memorable 4-1 victory over Rangers in the previous encounter at Tynecastle in February.

A win for the Glaswegian side against Hearts would see them close the gap on second placed Aberdeen to six points with two matches remaining.

In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson has fired this warning at Caixinha.
