Connor Taylor undergoing Wycombe Wanderers medical today after agreement
Bristol Rovers defender Connor Taylor is undergoing a medical at Wycombe Wanderers today ahead of a permanent move, sources have told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old will go through final tests before completing the switch to the League One side, ending his two-year spell at the Memorial Stadium.
A full agreement is in place and the terms of the deal have all been finalised.
Taylor was not in the Rovers squad for their first match of the League Two season, as Darrell Clarke’s side were beaten 1-0 by Harrogate Town.
Clarke confirmed after the game that the defender had handed in a transfer request.
Wycombe beat Peterborough to defender deal
Last month (10 July), Football Insider exclusively revealed that Peterborough had a £450,000 bid for Taylor rejected by Bristol Rovers.
Posh had made the centre-back one of their top targets for the summer transfer window, but have ultimately been beaten to a deal by fellow League One side Wycombe.
Taylor was named Rovers’ player of the season last term despite their relegation from the third tier, starting 38 out of a possible 46 games in the league.
Wycombe have now given the former Stoke City man another chance to show his quality in the division, as Mike Dodds’ side looks to bounce back from play-off semi-final defeat last season.

Liverpool midfield product set for Derby medical
Meanwhile, RB Salzburg midfielder Bobby Clark is having a medical at Derby County ahead of a season-long loan move, sources have told Football Insider.
The former Liverpool midfielder will undergo tests at Derby’s training ground before putting the finishing touches on a loan agreement.
A full agreement is in place and the terms of the deal have all been finalised.
Clark, 20, made 25 appearances for Salzburg last season, including six in the Champions League, and John Eustace has targeted him to add quality to his squad.
