Conte has sent 'clear message to Levy' ahead of January with 'unbelievable' Tottenham claim - pundit
Paddy Kenny claims Tottenham boss Antonio Conte sent a clear message to Daniel Levy on Thursday night.
The former Leeds stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists Spurs need to buy and sell “a lot of players”.
Journalist Jonathan Veal quoted Conte as saying “the level at Tottenham is not so high” after his side lost to Mura on Thursday.
These frank comments came after Tottenham were humiliated in Europe once again as a late Mura goal gave the minnows a 2-1 win.
Kenny insists the new Spurs boss didn’t realise the size of the challenge facing him and claims his comments were a clear message to the Tottenham higher-ups.
“He’s basically sent a clear message to Levy there after an unbelievable result and I can’t blame him for speaking out,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He knows if Tottenham are to be successful on all fronts they need new players.
“It was slightly bizarre to hear, a manager criticising his team like that.
“What are you meant to say? It sounds like he might have had a revelation and realised the magnitude of the task that faces him.
“A lot of players need to go and a lot need to come in. It’s that simple.”
Tottenham face Rennes on 9 December knowing anything other than a win puts them at risk of being dumped out of the Conference League.
Vitesse also have seven points and face Mura on the same day.
