Conte makes huge statement about Tottenham, shares what is a myth

Antonio Conte has hailed Tottenham as a “great power” in English football as he underlined the size of the task facing Chelsea on Saturday.
The bitter London rivals have emerged as the two best teams in England as the race for the Premier League title has been narrowed to a two-horse race.
Tottenham head into Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final showdown against Chelsea on the crest of a wave following a remarkable run of seven consecutive Premier League wins.
By contrast, the west Londoners have stuttered in the past month, losing two of their last four matches to give Spurs a glimmer of hope in the title race.
The gap between leaders Chelsea and second-placed Spurs has been narrowed to four points with six matches of the campaign remaining.

The two sides will take a break from the title to aim for the FA Cup win that will secure a place in next month’s final against Arsenal or Manchester City.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is in no doubt that Spurs’ young and vibrant team have become a force to be reckoned.
Speaking at his weekly media briefing on Saturday, as quoted by the official Chelsea Twitter account, Conte called Tottenham “a great power in English football”.
He also insisted that it is a myth for them to be regarded an an “underdog” in the shadows of the big guns.

Nevertheless, Spurs have not secured a significant prize since claiming the League Cup under Juande Ramos in 2008.
By contrast, Chelsea have won four Premier League titles during the Roman Abramovich era, as well as the Champions League, Europa League, four FA Cups and three League Cups.
In other Tottenham news, the club have sensationally terminated the contract of one of their defenders.
