Conte plan for 'embarrassing' Sessegnon mooted by pundit after Tottenham humiliation
Ryan Sessegnon will have other chances to impress Antonio Conte despite his Tottenham sending-off against NS Mura on Thursday.
That’s according to former Leeds goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the “embarrassing” loss.
Sessegnon, 21, was handed a rare start when Tottenham played Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
However, he only lasted 32 minutes after picking up two early yellow cards.
Kenny insists his Spurs career is not over and claimed Sessegnon’s reaction to the blow is what is important.
“It doesn’t help does it?” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“It was an embarrassing loss. He’s had a chance to get his foot in the door there and really stake a claim.
“It was a daft couple of challenges but I don’t think it’s the end of his Tottenham career or anything like that.
“He will be banned in the Conference League but he can still play in the Premier League if Conte wants him. That’s the next step.
“So there will be other chances for him. He will be disappointed but these things happen.
“He’s a young player and he will absolutely learn from the mistake he made last night.
“We have all been there as players and it’s all about how he responds to that now.”
The defender featured heavily on Tottenham’s social media ahead of the game and spoke about how he needed to take his chance.
He will miss Tottenham’s final group game against Rennes after picking up a ban.
