'How bad do we have to be?' - Chelsea fans call for 23-year-old to start after loss v Man United

By Matt Bullin

Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to call for Michy Batshuayi to start their next game after Diego Costa put in an underwhelming performance in Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Man United.

Costa played 90 minutes against United and failed to score for the fifth game in a row as his side slumped to their second defeat in four.

Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera netted either side of the break to hand United three points, as they moved back into fifth.

Chelsea remain top of the table but failed to stretch the four point gap which they hold over Tottenham.

Costa struggled against Marcus Rojo and Eric Bailly throughout the match and failed to make an impact.

Meanwhile Michy Batshuayi, who moved from Marseille for £33million last summer, was an unused substitute.

The 23-year-old has made just six substitute appearances in the Premier League since the turn of the year – totalling 34 minutes of game time.

He has not started a league match all season and has only scored five goals in 23 league and cup appearances.

After another average performance from Costa some Chelsea fans have called for him to be dropped in place of Batshuayi.
