The Wales U21 international has spent this season on loan at Walsall where he has notched up five goals from 19 matches played but has struggled to break into the Baggies first team since his debut in the senior side – back in May 2016 against Liverpool in the Premier League.
Leeds have struggled to compete with the top sides in the Championship lately and find themselves on the back of five games without a win, with a lot of talk about there being a need for improvements in attack.
Kemar Roofe aside, there has been a distinct lack of goal threat from other areas of the pitch and Thomas Christiansen will hope his new arrival can go some of the way to alleviating the pressure the club find themselves under.
Here is some reaction from Twitter and Roberts’ signing appears to have appeased supporters for now:
Very optimistic with this signing. Could be the signing of the season ????

Well done @lufc very good signing this really building for the future, nothing saying Lowe league exp means nothing look at Deli Ali, oli Watkins and even Kemar Roofe, much prefer this than a journey man on big wages like Martin which a lot of fans have been kicking off about MOT
