‘Crazy’ – Jean-Philippe Mateta posts Daniel Munoz message at Crystal Palace

Jean-Philippe Mateta has sent a new message to Daniel Munoz via social media after the pair returned to pre-season training at Crystal Palace.

Both Palace stars have been linked with moves away from Selhurst Park this summer, with Mateta attracting interest from Man United and AC Milan.

Football Insider revealed on 20 July that Liverpool are unlikely to pursue Mateta despite holding talks with his representatives as they close in on Hugo Ekitike.

Munoz, meanwhile, penned a new contract in April but has since confessed to Colombian media that he “hopes” a transfer can happen in this window. [via the Standard]

Both Man City and Juventus have been linked with the wing-back in the past, but there is hope that he will remain at Palace for the foreseeable future.

Mateta sends new Munoz message amid Crystal Palace exit rumours

Mateta and Munoz have become crucial parts of Oliver Glasner’s team in the last 18 months and there is hope they will remain so next season.

The pair share a close relationship off the pitch as well, as the striker attended his teammate’s wedding in Colombia earlier this summer as they shared images to social media.

Now, Mateta took to Instagram as the pair returned to training at Palace’s Copers Cope training ground to share a new message to the right-back.

The video showed Munoz’s new tattoo, which depicts a number of trophies including the FA Cup and a child, and was captioned “loco”, or “crazy” in English.

Amid ongoing speculation about the duo’s future at Crystal Palace, there has been no hint at unhappiness should they remain at the South London Club.

Mateta, Munoz, Guehi, Eze updates at Selhurst Park

Mateta and Munoz are not the only players being linked with a move away from Crystal Palace this summer, as Marc Guehi has been the focus of plenty of rumours.

Football Insider revealed on 21 July that Palace are determined to keep their best players at the club despite Guehi’s links to Liverpool and Eberechi Eze’s to Arsenal.

Mateta is another name Palace are determined not to lose despite Man United’s interest as they remain locked in contract talks with the striker.

Brown told Football Insider last month that Palace are confident of keeping Mateta alongside a number of his teammates who have also been linked with moves.
