Crysencio Summerville posts devastated West Ham message
Crysencio Summerville has faced a frustrating season marred by injuries, but he recently left an update for clarity for West Ham supporters.
Summerville has barely featured since Graham Potter’s arrival at the London Stadium, having picked up a hamstring injury during the manager’s very first game in charge.
The issue has severely limited his involvement, restricting him to just two appearances in 2025 and forcing him to miss 14 matches this calendar year.
Last month, Summerville appeared to respond to criticism with a pointed message aimed at his “haters” but hopes of a swift return were dashed after a series of recovery setbacks.
With the season now nearing its conclusion and his absence continuing, the winger has offered supporters an update on his recovery process.

Crysencio Summerville confirms surgery following injury-hit debut season
The winger has confirmed he has undergone surgery after a difficult season plagued by injuries, sharing the update in an Instagram post.
He wrote: “First of all thank you God. Everything went well with the surgery.
“Hammers, it wasn’t the season we hoped for, but we will be back next season to give our all for the club and the fans.
“On a personal note, I will focus on my recovery and my comeback now, and I can’t wait to be back and show you guys the magic you’ve been waiting for.
“I see you guys soon! CS COYI.”

He arrived with high expectations after an outstanding season at Leeds, where he won the Championship PFA Player of the Year award with an impressive 31 goal contributions.
His impact was so significant that Leeds supporters criticised the club’s owners when Summerville was sold for a fee in the region of £25 million.
However, the Dutch winger has struggled to replicate that form since making the move, with injuries derailing his debut campaign. He has managed just one goal and two assists this season, making only seven league starts.

West Ham targeting central defender as part of summer rebuild
West Ham have endured a turbulent season marked by inconsistent results and injury setbacks, and they are now winless in their last seven matches.
Attention has already turned to the summer, with Football Insider revealing that Graham Potter is prioritising the addition of at least one new centre-back as part of a planned overhaul.
Konstantinos Mavropanos is no longer viewed as part of the first-team setup at the London Stadium and is expected to be replaced as Potter is set to reshape his defensive line for next season.
