Crysencio Summerville shares Wan-Bissaka update in new West Ham message
Crysencio Summerville shared an upbeat message as he made his return to West Ham ahead of the new season.
The 23-year-old has endured a difficult spell in East London since making the move from Leeds United last summer.
Summerville has made just 22 appearances for the Hammers, registering only one goal and two assists during a stop-start campaign hampered by injuries.
His most recent setback came during Graham Potter’s very first match in charge, which significantly limited his involvement for the remainder of the season as he featured just twice in 2025 before being ruled out.
Back in April, Summerville confirmed he had undergone surgery, which sidelined him for the rest of the campaign as he began a lengthy recovery process.
Now, with pre-season training already underway, Summerville has posted a positive update that may give West Ham fans something to smile about ahead of the new campaign.

Crysencio Summerville back in full West Ham training after injury layoff
The forward posted an update as he returned to full training with the West Ham squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Summerville shared a photo on his Instagram story showing him involved in training alongside Aaron Wan-Bissaka, accompanied by a smiling face and peace sign emoji.

His return will be a welcome boost for Graham Potter, particularly after a season plagued by attacking injuries. Both Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen missed key spells of the campaign for West Ham, leaving the Hammers short of options in the final third.
Summerville arrived last summer with high expectations following a standout season at Leeds United, where he was named Championship PFA Player of the Year after contributing to 31 goals.
Leeds supporters were vocal in their criticism of the club’s board after Summerville was sold for just £25 million, believing the winger was worth far more after his breakout campaign.
However, his debut season in East London failed to live up to the hype, with injuries restricting his impact.
Now back in training, there will be renewed hope that the 23-year-old can find form and deliver on his potential after a difficult first year at the club.
West Ham target Ademola Lookman as Kudus replacement

Despite Summerville’s return, competition in West Ham’s attack could increase this summer.
West Ham are reportedly showing strong interest in Ademola Lookman as they search for a replacement for Mohamed Kudus, who recently completed a move to Tottenham.
He has been a standout performer for Atalanta, scoring 52 goals and providing 25 assists in 118 appearances across all competitions.
However, they may face competition for the 27-year-old’s signature, with Arsenal also said to be monitoring Lookman’s situation. The Hammers will likely need to act quickly if they hope to secure a deal for the Nigerian international.
