Crysencio Summerville swipes at ‘haters’ in new West Ham message
Crysencio Summerville has faced a frustrating season marred by injuries, but he recently left a mysterious message for West Ham fans on social media.
Summerville picked up a thigh injury earlier this year, limiting him to just two appearances in 2025 and forcing him to miss the last nine matches.
The timing was especially unfortunate, as he sustained the injury during Graham Potter’s first game in charge against Fulham, leaving him sidelined ever since.

Crysencio Summerville yet to replicate Leeds form at West Ham
Summerville posted a thought-provoking message on his Instagram story, reflecting on what his current situation is by posting a message that read:

The failure. The praise. The criticism. The loneliness. The injuries. The rehab. The PR’s. The wins. The losses. The fear. The doubt. The confidence. The focus. The distractions. The supporters. The haters.
The journey. It’s all part of it.”
Last season, his performances for Leeds earned him the Championship PFA Player of the Year award, after registering an impressive 31 goal contributions.
He then made the move to the Hammers, but Leeds fans were critical of their owners after the sale of Summerville, which was in the region of £25 million.
However, his time at West Ham has been far from seamless. The Dutch winger has scored just once this season and provided two assists, making only seven league starts. His struggles have been compounded by injuries, and he has yet to replicate the form that saw him shine at Leeds.
Summerville has maintained a strong friendship with Willy Gnonto, despite ongoing speculation about his future.
Football Insider revealed that Leeds are now open to selling Gnonto, despite previously rejecting offers for him last summer with interest from Everton and Saudi Arabian clubs.
For Summerville, if he can rediscover even a fraction of the form that earned him praise last season, he’ll be firmly in manager Potter’s thoughts as he seeks to add depth to the squad.
West Ham target Tammy Abraham amid injury and attacking struggles
West Ham have faced a challenging season, especially in attack, and Summerville’s struggles have only added to their woes.
The Hammers have struggled to find consistency in front of goal, with Niclas Fullkrug failing to make a significant impact since his arrival.
In response to their attacking concerns, Football Insider revealed that West Ham are now targeting Tammy Abraham. The striker is expected to be available at a relatively low price, as Roma eager to move him on.
