Crystal Palace braced for Adam Wharton offer after confirmed development
Adam Wharton has been one of the most talked-about players in the Premier League this season thanks to his impressive displays for Crystal Palace.
The midfielder started as Oliver Glasner’s side drew 0-0 with Brighton last time out, in what was his 15th appearance for the Eagles already this season.
While fixture congestion has forced some rotation at Selhurst Park, Wharton remains among their most important players, with his form earning him an England call-up.
However, Man United and Liverpool are interested in Wharton as a result of that impressive form, while the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping tabs.
His recent involvement in Thomas Tuchel‘s side is unlikely to have a positive impact as far as Palace are concerned, with that interest now tipped to spike.

Crystal Palace make Adam Wharton transfer plan
Football Insider revealed on 10 October that Crystal Palace have no plans to sell Wharton despite the interest from Liverpool as he remains a key player.
However, they are aware that the growing interest in his signature will lead to formal offers, if not in January then at the end of the current season.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Palace are prepared to receive offers for the midfielder.
“Adam Wharton is attracting a lot of interest,” he told Football Insider.
“It’s something we’ve spoken about before when it comes to Crystal Palace, because it was the same with Mateta going away with France.
“When players go on international duty, the interest in them spikes, and they’re having conversations with players about playing in the Champions League and this sort of thing.
“So from Palace’s point of view, it’s going to be something they have to prepare for.
“But they’re not stupid, they’ll know about the interest and they’ll be ready to receive offers for him.

“Whether that comes in January or at the end of the season, it won’t come as a surprise, but they’ve made their stance clear they don’t want to lose him.
“I don’t think it’s something that will happen in January either way.”
This comes after Football Insider revealed in August that Crystal Palace will turn down approaches for Wharton as they have no plans to let him leave the club.
Update on Wharton’s contract talks at Crystal Palace
Football Insider revealed on 11 November that Crystal Palace will not sell Wharton in January, and instead plan to offer him a new contract at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles are believed to have opened negotiations over a new deal with the midfielder’s representative in an effort to deter the growing interest in him.
However, they don’t feel that pressure to complete talks before the transfer window reopens, as the England international is not for sale regardless of his contract situation.

Brown first told Football Insider in May that Liverpool and Real Madrid want to sign Wharton, with Barcelona also keeping a close eye on his development.
However, there is a confidence that the midfielder is happy at Selhurst Park and could commit to a new deal, as previously seen with both Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.
