Crystal Palace could accept £50m Jean-Philippe Mateta offer – sources
Crystal Palace value star striker Jean-Philippe Mateta at around £40-50million, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (11 February) that Crystal Palace will hold crunch talks with Mateta over a long-term deal this summer.
Palace activated an option to extend his deal until June 2027 in December but are keen to go even further to fend off interest in his services.
However, Mateta is attracting interest from the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and former club Lyon.

The Eagles acknowledge the Frenchman may be flattered by interest from Europe’s top clubs – but Oliver Glasner is desperate to keep him at Selhurst Park past this summer.
Football Insider has been told by recruitment expert Mick Brown (9 February) that Crystal Palace are prepared to do all they can to keep Mateta at the club.
The Croydon club will be keen to bank their maximum valuation for the striker if he decides to push for a Selhurst Park exit this summer.
Mateta has hit 13 goals in 29 games across all competitions this season – including six strikes in his last five Premier League games.
He has struck up a strong relationship with Palace boss Glasner since his appointment 12 months ago, scoring 26 goals in 41 games for the Austrian.

Meanwhile in Palace’s youth ranks, 17-year-old winger Jesse Derry is attracting interest from European giants.
Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid have all watched Derry closely as they run the rule over a potential swoop.
He is yet to put pen to paper on the offer of a professional contract at Crystal Palace and could follow talented duo Samuel Lusale and Reggie Watson out of the club.
