Crystal Palace make move to sign Cody Drameh as race intensifies

Crystal Palace have joined the chase to sign Hull City defender Cody Drameh following his impressive performances in pre-season, sources have told Football Insider.

A number of EFL sides have already registered their interest in landing the former Leeds United defender.

Hull now face a battle to keep hold of Drameh, with Palace making contact over a potential deal.

Last season, the full-back started 17 Championship games for the Tigers, as they avoided relegation to League One on the final day of the campaign.

Back in May, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Derby County had submitted an offer to sign Drameh on loan, but it was rejected by Hull.

The 23-year-old only completed his move to the Tigers last summer, after being released by Leeds, but could be set to leave after just a year at the club.

During his spell at Elland Road, Drameh made four appearances in the Premier League, but failed to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI.

However, the England under-21 international did have a number of successful loan spells in the Championship while at Leeds, most notably with Luton Town, as he helped them secure promotion to the top-flight in 2022/23.

‘Crystal Palace defender wants big move’

Meanwhile, Marc Guehi has his heart set on a move to Liverpool this summer and is prepared to snub Tottenham should a rival offer arrive.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that Thomas Frank’s side were eyeing up a fresh offer for the 25-year-old.

However, the England defender has made clear his preference to join Liverpool and is prepared to wait until next summer if he must to secure the move.

This comes after Football Insider exclusively revealed on 20 June that Guehi wants to join Liverpool and will prioritise their offer ahead of the likes of Newcastle and Spurs.
