Crystal Palace next manager: Andoni Iraola odds tumble as Bournemouth contract nears end

Crystal Palace are increasingly likely to appoint Andoni Iraola after his odds were slashed.

The current AFC Bournemouth boss is out of contract in the summer, which has seen him linked to multiple jobs.

However, he could now be in line for a surprise switch to Crystal Palace once Oliver Glasner leaves in the summer.

One bookmaker has the odds of a switch at just 4/1, with Oddschecker confirming that these odds have been slashed.

Below, Football Insider explores the manager’s career and whether Iraola should pick Palace over other clubs

Andoni Iraola heavily linked to Crystal Palace

Iraola has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most promising managers since joining Bournemouth in 2023.

In this time, the 43-year-old has taken the Cherries from a relegation-threatened side and turned them into a club pushing for Europe.

Iraola has had an impressive start to his management career

Currently, Bournemouth are 13th in the Premier League, potentially four points off a European spot in what would be a fantastic achievement.

In comparison, while Palace have found trophies easy to come by in recent months, criticism about how the club is run has reached a high after numerous big-name player sales.

With there being a chance that Bournemouth could be in Europe next season while the Eagles miss out, the switch would seem like a backwards one for Iraola.

This is especially true considering the manager has been linked to positions such as Athletic Club and Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.

Therefore, it remains to be seen if Iraola would be willing to go to Palace, in a step that appears to be sideways.

Who else is linked with the Crystal Palace job?

As it stands, Thomas Frank is the favourite to take over at 2/1.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss was dismissed earlier this year, but is still seen as a top Premier League manager.

Robbie Keane and Sean Dyche still remain in the running at 5/1 and 6/1.

Both managers have been heavily linked to other roles, mainly Spurs, and it remains to be seen if they will be on the market still in the summer.

Gareth Southgate remains an outsider at 12/1, with the former Eagles star yet to pick up a job since leaving the England National Team post in 2024.
