Crystal Palace star’s future is ‘tied to Oliver Glasner’ amid new contract talks
Crystal Palace have enjoyed a strong start to the season so far and remain keen to build on their FA Cup and Community Shield victories.
The Eagles are putting ambitious plans in place for the future, and currently sit sixth in the Premier League after Oliver Glasner’s side lost 2-1 to Everton.
Their defeat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium put an end to a 19-game unbeaten run, as Palace continue to impress with their performances under Glasner.
However, that form has attracted interest in a number of their key players including the likes of Marc Guehi, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Adam Wharton.
Football Insider revealed in March that Crystal Palace plan to keep their best players and are reluctant to see any key squad members leave.

Crystal Palace plan Daichi Kamada contract talks
Football Insider revealed on 6 October that Crystal Palace are open to extending Daichi Kamada’s contract, which is set to expire at the end of the season.
However, there is a belief that the midfielder’s future could be tied to that of Glasner, who is also set to see his contract expire in 2026 as things stand.
That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Kamada could delay any agreement until later in the season.
“It seems to me that Kamada could wait and see what the manager does,” he told Football Insider.
“We know Glasner played a huge part in convincing him to join Palace in the first place, because he wanted to play under him and they’ve got this relationship.
“They worked well together at Frankfurt and it’s been good for them again at Palace, so if the manager is now going to leave, it might raise some question marks for him.
“I think his future is tied to Glasner’s in that respect, they might both go or they might both stay.
“From Palace’s point of view, they want him to sign a new contract because he’s been an important part of the success they’ve had in the last year.

“He plays an important role for Glasner and for the team, so they’ll be reluctant to lose him for free.
“As I say, I think he might wait and see what the manager does before signing a new contract.
“It’s not to say he won’t stay if Glasner leaves, or won’t leave if Glasner stays, but it’s going to play a part in whatever decision he makes I’m sure.”
Kamada was crowned Palace’s Player of the Month for September and was nominated for the Premier League award too, as a result of the form he has enjoyed at Selhurst Park.
Steve Parish provides new Oliver Glasner contract update
Given the short time remaining on Glasner’s contract, concerns have emerged at Selhurst Park that he could be tempted to walk away at the end of his deal.
Palace chairman Steve Parish confirmed that early stages of contract talks have taken place, but explained their visions need to be aligned to reach an agreement. [talkSPORT]
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 8 September that Crystal Palace are doing everything to keep Glasner at the club beyond the end of the season.

Football Insider revealed on 6 September that Crystal Palace fear Glasner could leave and join their Premier League rivals upon the expiry of his contract.
Meanwhile, Parish also commented on Adam Wharton’s future, as he revealed he expects the midfielder to want to play Champions League football at some stage.
