Crystal Palace predicted XI vs Wolves – Munoz dropped, 3 changes from FA Cup final

Crystal Palace host Wolves at Selhurst Park on Tuesday, 20 May in their final home match of the Premier League campaign.

Oliver Glasner’s men will receive an exceptional reception in South London on Tuesday after beating Manchester City in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

The Eagles successfully won their first major trophy thanks to Eberechi Eze’s 16th-minute strike, while Dean Henderson made himself a hero by denying Omar Marmoush from the penalty spot.

Including their FA Cup triumph, Palace are now unbeaten in their last six outings, and beat Tottenham 2-0 in their last Premier League fixture.

Munoz dropped for Joel Ward, three changes from cup final lineup

Now that Palace have won the FA Cup, no permutations are riding on the rest of the Selhurst Park side’s season, as they are set to finish mid-table in the Premier League.

That allows room for sentiment, and the Eagles faithful would love to see Joel Ward handed a start in his final home outing as Palace captain.

To bring the 35-year-old into his lineup, Glasner will have to drop Daniel Munoz even though the Colombian produced a top performance at Wembley.

Elsewhere, both Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton were taken to hospital after their FA Cup triumph, and Glasner could leave them out of his team at least out of precaution, with nothing other than pride to play for.

Leaving that duo out of the Palace side can give both Jefferson Lerma and Will Hughes a starting berth, and may witness the South London side deploying a 4-3-3 formation as opposed to their usual wing-back system.

FA Cup triumph could help Palace retain star players

Palace wrote the most successful chapter in the Selhurst Park club’s history by winning the FA Cup on Saturday with a heroic performance against Man City.

Ultimately, supporters will be most proud of the fact that their side have finally clinched silverware, but one of the biggest benefits of their Wembley success is that Glasner’s men will now compete in next season’s Europa League.

Bringing European football to South London could help Palace retain some of their star players, such as Eze, who has been eyed by Tottenham.

Eze yet again proved his great talent when he scored in the FA Cup final, and Glasner will hope to retain the England international’s services.

Meanwhile, Jean-Philippe Mateta has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Like Eze, Mateta is a key player for Palace and has notched an impressive return of 17 goals and four assists in 44 appearances across all competitions this term.
