Curtis Jones starts as Cole Palmer ditched – England predicted XI v Andorra
Thomas Tuchel is set to make changes to his last England lineup when the Three Lions face Andorra in Spain on Saturday, 7 June.
Tuchel’s rein in charge of the national side got off to a positive start as his men defeated Albania and Latvia in March.
England will be intent on remaining top of their World Cup qualifying group by beating Andorra on Saturday, before hosting Senegal in a friendly at the City Ground three days later.
Last time out against Andorra, the Three Lions enjoyed a 5-0 victory on away soil in October 2021, with goals arriving from Ben Chilwell, Bukayo Saka, Tammy Abraham, and James Ward-Prowse.
Tuchel has made some significant changes to his last England squad, as striker Ivan Toney is back in the fold for the first time since Euro 2024.

Jones starts alongside Declan Rice in England predicted XI
Tuchel will likely stick with the 4-2-3-1 system he deployed for the wins over Albania and Latvia in March, allowing Curtis Jones a starting berth in holding midfield alongside Declan Rice.
Although Jones started only half of Liverpool’s Premier League games this term, he has enjoyed a successful England career so far, notching one goal in four appearances.
Selecting Jones alongside Rice hands chief creator Jude Bellingham the opportunity to play in the ‘number 10’ role, while Morgan Rogers and Eberechi Eze deserve spots on the wing after excelling for Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, respectively, this season.
Elsewhere, Harry Kane and Jordan Pickford should be all but guaranteed a spot in the starting lineup, while Reece James and Myles Lewis-Skelly could be selected in the fullback positions.

Football Insider verdict
England’s upcoming matches are vital for Toney
Although qualification for next summer’s tournament is not yet secured, every England player must treat the current international break as a key opportunity to feature in Tuchel’s squad in the 2026 World Cup.
Opponent | Result |
Albania | 2-0 W |
Latvia | 3-0 W |
The selections of the likes of Kyle Walker and Jordan Henderson epitomise the German’s tunnel vision towards next summer’s showpiece event in the United States, as the former Chelsea boss favours adding experience to his ranks.
But the argument could be made that, while Kane appears likely to start against Andorra, the current international period is particularly vital for Toney.
Many England supporters were surprised to see him brought back into the Three Lions fold after leaving Brentford in favour of Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli.
When Toney features for England, perhaps as a substitute in the World Cup qualifier with Andorra, and as a starter in the friendly against Senegal, he must prove he is still up to the task after moving to a less prestigious league.
